GMI App List

The list below furnishes complete access to all GMI Apps currently certified by the GMI Foundation, which exist in the public domain. You may click the download link to obtain any or all of the packages below. Each package adds specific new functionality to a GMI agent. Refer to the “DD” (Description Document) contained in each package for App specific notes on installation and usage.

GMI GMI-App-Cpustat-1-2.zip

Cpustat.gmi “CPU Status” Application Package – This GMI application provides access to CPU performance counters, furnishing the ability to look at individual CPU performance in terms of total CPU, per-processor CPU, 1 minute and 5 minute load averages.

GMI-App-Diskmon-1-2.zip

Diskmon.gmi “Disk Monitor” Application Package – This GMI application provides access to Disk usage values, allowing the operator to view the disk size, disk used, disk free, and disk percent used for each mounted disk on the managed platform.

GMI-App-Filestore-1-2.zip

Filestore.gmi “File Store” Application Package – This GMI application provides general utility in furnishing a secure datastore for files uploaded to the agent. In addition to providing a shared area for selected files, the application logs access to these files for security and audit purposes.

GMI-App-Mailer-1-2.zip

Mailer.gmi “SMTP Mailer” Application Package – This GMI application provides general application in configuring e-mail messages via GMI protocol, useful for notifications and other functions. The App permits the user to specify an SMTP mailer, authentication mode, account information, signature for e-mails sent by the App. Then the user can “upload” a mail message, which is sent to one or more people.

Memstat.gmi “Memory Status” Application Package – This GMI application furnishes statistics on memory usage of the platform, including percent memory used, physical memory, virtual memory, page memory, and page rates, useful for performance monitoring and resource management.

GMI-App-Netstat-1-2.zip

Netstat.gmi “Network Status” Application Package – This GMI application furnishes statistics and network performance metrics in a fashion similar to the native “netstat” program of the platform. Statistics are provided for “ethernet”, “ip”, “icmp”, “tcp”, and “udp” network protocols.

Pinger.gmi “Pinger” Application Package – This GMI application provides general utility in continuously pinging a configured list of devices (at an operator configured interval) and logging the response time, and state of these devices. The application is especially useful for determining whether the network resources of a managed platform are available and troubleshooting network connectivity issues.

Pslist.gmi “Process List” Application Package – This GMI application permits an operator to list the currently executing processes of a platform, including the process name, ID, user-owner, and CPU usage for each process.

GMI-App-Rshell-1-2.zip

Rshell.gmi “Remote Shell” Application Package – This GMI application allows an operator to execute an arbitrary native program on the managed platform, and receive program standard (and error) output. This application should be used ONLY for sites where the GMI agent security features are enabled.

Svclist.gmi “Windows Service List” Application Package – This GMI application permits an operator to list the currently configured services of the platform, including the service brief name, full name, service state, and flags.

GMI-App-Svr-1-2.zip

Svr.gmi “Windows Server Monitor” Application Package – This GMI application provides useful statistics and metrics associated with managing Windows servers, including metrics on configuration, errors, files, objects, processes, sessions, and shares.

Each GMI application below has been certified for usage at any Windows 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2012 GMI Agent installation. Each application package contains a valid Description Document (DD), which provides a discussion of data items supported by the application, as well as notes on general usage.
